I LOVE the smell of strawberries! Better, though, is the smell around a shelf with strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries all sitting near each other.
Also, as far as vanilla beans go, we get ours from Cost Plus World Market, but I don’t know if they’re just a Michigan thing, or national. As their name suggests, their prices are phenomenal!

I agree about winter!

Raspberries: I adore raspberries, they are my favourite fruit by a huge degree, but… even though I love the taste of them, I still think really good ripe strawberries smell better.

With you on the cloves, orange zest & mint. And paint! Also:

-cumin seeds!
-vanilla-scented coffee beans
-gingerbread (smells like Christmas)
-coconut
-curry
-raspberries (kick strawberries’ ass smellwise) & raspberry vinegar
-the smell of melted cheese, which isn’t particularly nice but it makes me hungrier than anything else.
-mushroom soup – the definition of ‘comfort food’
-recently, I have discovered fenugreek and, sweet Jesus, the smell!

on the non-food list:
-Winter. Just that smell of cold air.
-whatever it is that makes those oriental/neohippy/environmental shops smell so good (candles? incense?)

Raw sewage doesn’t make me hungry, but that is probaly about it.

Blood does, and so does fresh paint. Maybe I’m a bit odd.

fresh mown grass smells like watermelon 2 me.
the desert after/during a monsoon storm
the ocean
popcorn during popping
honeysuckle
XXX-vacuum cleaner exhaust smelled like the gas used for pulling teeth (older vacuums & I had a # of teeth pulled when young….yuk)
dark chocolate/raspberry creme chocolates (Fannie May)
